Electricnick, The Reason Behind The Need.
The beginning, it became evident and clear in early 2008 that alternative cars were not only picking up steam as far as development through battery innovations but also showed more and more performance. Yet somehow the public knew very little about them and got the ever-growing lingo confused. As we browsed the Internet for headlines and blogs, we noticed there weren’t any broad, clear, precise and impartial news around this new growing trend. In fact, there are still no magazines in the U.S. that we know of dedicated entirely to electric vehicles, EV and hybrids, HEV. So it became evident we needed to write about this clean revolution and put the facts straight, in an impartial way. Thus Electricnick was born.
Though there are fine blogs and websites on the Internet covering parts of this growing industry, we felt there wasn’t anything that encompassed an inclusive view of the electric car and what would make it possible. That’s why on Electricnick, you can not only read about electric cars and its hybrid derivatives, but also about clean, renewable energy, innovations on updating the grid and how the infrastructure for electric charging stations are being invented in order to make electric cars a reality. In this aspect, we believe we cover the news as no one else does by looking for global innovations, breakthroughs as well as major headlines. We look for news globally and try to draw their worldwide implication. After all, this is a global economy now.
The mission at Electricnick is simple; deliver news relating to electric cars, hybrids, plug-in hybrids, clean renewable energy and other related topics in a fair, impartial way while leaving it to the reader to make up their minds. We want readers to walk away after reading a post asking fundamental and critical questions, such as: “Does this technology that makes sense to me?”, “Is there a future in this?”, “Who benefits from it?” We want readers to ask questions and continue their education on what will populate our streets tomorrow, the incredible expanding world of electric cars. We believe a well informed consumer is one that makes educated purchases. Educated purchases lead to happy and satisfied clients. Judging by the latest headlines, people are looking for something new, something different and electric cars deliver low cost of operation matched by fantastic performance.
