• Renault-Nissan Moves In On Italy.  The Renault-Nissan Alliance and Italian regional utility A2A SpA have are looking to mass produce zero-emission electric vehicles in Italy on a large scale, according to Reuters.
• PHEV Financial Sense.  What might seem to some, might not be to others and we are happy to see this post on AllCarsElectric reporting a French research organization IFP finding that making lithium-ion powered hybrids makes economic sense right now for both the car maker and the buyer.
• Korean EV Built In The U.S.A..  Another small electric vehicle, EV but this time built in the U.S. by a South Korean car company, according to AutoBlogGreen.  The e-Zone will use lead acid, or advanced lead acid, and even lithium polymer, as well as lithium ion chemistry options, costing between $8,000 and $16,000.  It will be a neighborhood electric vehicle, NEV, meaning it will have a low speed.
• American Le Mans Racing Partners with Green.  If you remember a while back at the Long Beach Grand Prix we were telling you the U.S. Le Mans Series was heading towards green technology, their press release confirms the commitment.
• Hybrids Sale Up In The U.S..  It is written on the wall for car makers, sales of hybrids in the US increased 5.2% by volume in June 2009 year-on-year, via GreenCarCongress.
