- Nissan In Texas Energy Deal. Nissan does not stop moving and has signed a deal to work with Texas electricity provider Reliant Energy, according to AutomotiveNews. There is little doubt as days go by that Nissan has positioned itself as the future EV leader in this industry. We also see Ford making great strides in this arena.
- Environmental Transport Association Call For EV Energy Use. Here is a smart twist so that we do not continue past mistakes, electric vehicles, EVs should have systems that monitor energy spent as asked by the Environmental Transport Association, according to the Telegraph. This will be akin to internal combustion engine, ICE makers showing how much performance a frugal engine can be. It would be nice to see a rating for EV that show energy consumption to performance.
- Communal EV. Here is also an interesting project from Scotland where a communal EV will be shared to bring locals who are limited in transportation to doctors and other necessities, according to the BBC. The kicker? The car will be able to haul its personal wind turbine and recharge as much as possible, lowering the overall operational cost. Simply brilliant!
