Here is a look at what is happening with electric cars and related topics worldwide.
- Nissan Leaf Official Tour Begins Tomorrow. The Nissan LEAF is officially being introduced in North America with its premiere. Even though the main event is private, there will be a public showing throughout the tour until February including at the Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica this Saturday.
- Peugeot Mulling Over Electric BB1 Configuration. Peugeot is considering configurations for its electric BB1, the four seater, measuring 2.5m long, or slightly over 8 feet. Its lithium ion battery pack powers two 15kW electric motors and its weight is kept to 650kg, or slightly over 1,400 pounds, which gives a maximum range of 120km, about 70 miles between recharges, according to WorldHighways.
- Welcome Another EV and HEV Integrator. The world of conversion shops is getting bigger and we would like to welcome the Florida, U.S. based Evolve-It Motors. Evolve-It Motors offers hybrid, HEV and electric vehicle, EV conversions for fleets, as well as providing turnkey electric propulsion systems for new specialty vehicles.
- Yamaha HV-X hybrid Motorcycle Concept. The Yamaha HV-X hybrid motorcycle concept was presented at the Tokyo Auto Show 2009, according to Gas2. The gist? Based on Yamaha’s TMax 500 chassis, it can function on full electric before the engine kicks in.
That’s it for now. Stay tuned for more.
