Electric vehicle, EV breakthroughs are coming at a fast pace, by far well ahead of other technologies. We are on a good road.
- Batteries With Paper? After hearing about Lithium Air, then Zinc and Sulfur, well what about paper? According to Earth911, a new battery type using paper fiber soaked with sodium chloride as an electrolyte and not metal which makes it obviously lighter is being developed. No resting with innovations in the EV field.
- Is There Enough Lithium? We have been hearing that question a lot these last few months and it seems to have propped up again this week. The answer seems to be yes, and according to the latest Auto123 article, yes again according to Kerry Knoll, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Canada Lithium Corporation. Fear factor at work.
- Davis Divan “Yesterday’s car of tomorrow”. Sounds familiar? That is because it is our moto; “Yesterday Future Now. And according to EconomicTimes Leslie Kandal, curator at the Los Angeles Peterson Auto Museum believes today’s electric drive entrepreneurs sound a lot like Divan and less like Tuckers.
- Drive On EVs! Ah, the promise of driving while feeding on continuous electricity from the street. And if that reality seems a little far away, researchers in Korea are working hard to make it happen, according to BusinessWeek. A shuttle service, due to begin a test run in November and open for public use next spring and will have EVs continuously charged while running on roads embedded with power strips. That is the future!
That’s it for now as we get ready for a round up of what EVs are available, which ones can you put money down for and what is coming up. Stay tuned.
