- Using Ultracapcitors, EnerG2. EnerG2 will open up a plant in Albany, Oregon to build ultracapacitors that will help battery efficiency as well as life span, according to DJCOregon. Coupling ultracapacitors to regular lithium batteries would greatly boost the efficiency of an EV or hybrid, such as the Volt.
- Iceland, EV Capital Of The World? Maybe not yet but with a population pf 310,000, its president, Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson is strongly behind the idea of having Iceland electrify its transportation. And why not? The country already uses geo-thermal and hydro-electricity, topped with over $7 for a gallon of gas, the motivation is great. Via MNN.
