Peugeot Ion (iMiEV) Is Revealed

The collaboration between Peugeot and Mitsubishi is taking shape in the form of the Peugeot version of the iMiEV, the iOn.

The gist is that a week after Mitsubishi and Peugeot tied the knot a little closer, Peugeot announces its own version of the iMiEV, the iOn.

Technically Speaking.  As you would  have expected, the iOn will deliver a maximum power output of 64bhp with a top speed of 80mph and range of 80 miles.  The same fast charging scheme as the iMiEV will be good for 80% capacity within 30 minutes.

The original prototype was pretty but the end result is nonetheless pleasing.

Peugeot is trying to move in quickly as the Renault-Nissan alliance has already made headway in an increasingly competitive budding electric vehicle, EV market.  We like it and think it has every chance to thrive in Europe, if at the very least based on its design that will win over Europeans.  Bu the real questions is, when will have a sporty iMiEV or iOn?
