The Daily Jolt With Electric Cars

Car makers are putting their thinking caps on, will consumers buy they hybrid and electric products?

  • Wireless Charging & Super Capacitors.  A match made in heaven with heaven with wireless charging using ultracapacitor technology, according to TechOn.  The combination of the two technologies would be a solution for mobile phone users.  We can only imagine the applications for electric vehicles, EVs.
  • UVM Tests PHEV.  The University of Vermont’s Transportation Research Center is testing a converted Prius plug-in hybrid electric vehicle, PHEV according to WCAX.
  • ZENN Feels The Pinch.  the economy has not been particularly nice to ZENN who has posted a third-quarter loss of $2.6 million, up from a loss of $1.9 million a year earlier, according to Canada.
  • Suzuki Hybrid? We have not heard much as far as hybrids, HEV go from Suzuki but as the company unveiled its 2010 Suzuki Kizashi last month, it also promised a hybrid version in the future based on GM technology, according HybridCars.

That’s it for now.  Stay tuned for more.
