Global Green Cars has a few electric vehicles, EV to offer and chances are, they might fit your taste and budget.
The gist is that most people think EVs are not out yet or too expensive, or underpowered, or just not ready. While the 600 mile range electric sedan is not yet on the streets, there are plenty of viable alternatives today.
Global Green Cars. Global Green Cars, GGC has two EVs and a plug-in hybrid, PHEV that should fit most people’s needs. The first is called the G-1 and has some decent performance. It has a slight resemblance to the GEM EVs but is actually bigger. The second, the G-2 is an SUV that looks like a Subaru Forrester, while the G-3 is a small pickup truck, similar to the Miles EV ones.
Technically Speaking. The G-1 has a top speed of 100mph and a starting range of 100 miles. At that option, it will set you back $18,000. A 160 mile version is available for $25,000, while the 250 mile one is $30,000. The SUV has the same range as the G-1 with 100 miles, with a top speed of 90 mph and costs $26,950. The G-3 is a PHEV small pickup with a range of 150 miles and a top speed of 85 mph.
On The Company. Global Green Cars has been in the EV business for some time and was one of the largest manufacturers in the U.S. in 1994 and 1995. The company was one of the few who answered the call from the government to assess who was working on EVs with its EV America Program. GGC submitted three cars.
It is especially interesting to see an old company, at least in terms of EVs years still around and making EV available.
