The electric car pavement

Electric cars have reopen the door to creative thinking and elaborate design, something mainstream car manufacturers had left behind for some decades now.

  • Electric Mercedes? Autocar raises the questions with spy shots of a Mercedes prototype, after the Daimler stake with Tesla Motors, could Mercedes be w3orking on a pure electric car?  One thing is certain, it would be interesting to see what the company does with it, knowing their quality track record.
  • Continental Automotive lithium contribution.  Continental Automotive has received Intelligence for Traffic and Logistics prize from the Center for Transportation & Logistics Neuer Adler e.V. (CNA) in Nüremberg,Germany for its new lithium ion battery, according to AutoBlogGreen.  It is good to see more and more technology companies being recognized as being automobile players.
  • Beautiful Electric Motorcycle Vertigo! Seriously electric car makers, the budding electric motorcycle industry is taking the world by storm with yet another one with a student working on his masters at the Deft University of Technology named Maarten Timmer, wants electric motorcycles to be different from the gas-burning ones with his VertiGO concept, via AutoBlogGreen Nice!
  • Cinese U.S. Electric Cars.  Yang Rong wants to set up an electric car company in the southern U.S. state of Alabama, according to Reuters.
