Electric car news review

The race is still on for hybrids, HEV, plug-in hybrids, PHEV pure electric vehicles, EV and fuel cell vehicles, FCV to compete for the lion’s share of the market.

  • Energetique Coming To Europe.  Remember the folks from Energetique from down under?  It seems they are heading for the European market after all, according to their site press release.
  • Mission One Continues Races.  Mission One is committed to continuing racing, according to their site press release.
  • Detroit Electric Moving Towards Production.  Finally Detroit Electric is moving ahead with the production of their electric vehicles, EV according to this Gas2 post.  The company will work with Chines Donfeng Motor Company to build them.  And guess what platform will be used?
  • Electric, Hybrid Or Hydrogen? Can’t get enough of that question and the UK Telegraph tackles it.
  • Exxon, Batteries And An EV? If those three concepts do not look as if they belong in the same sentence, think again, as Exxon touting its lithium battery research which will let Electrovaya introduce the Maya 300, an electric vehicle, EV for 2011.  The EV promises good numbers, charge in about 8 to 10hrs, 120 mile range, should be around $20,000 to $25,000, according to GreenTechMedia.
  • 3 Electric Renaults At The Frankfort Show.  The Frankfort Auto Show will have Renault presenting 3 electric cars it will most likely use with Better Place.  Source: AutomobileMag.
