If concerns arise as to how well the future of the electric car is shaing itself, most of the puzzle parts are in place.  The only thing left are to continue perfecting battery technology and price, upgrading the grid and throw in more alternative, clean energy.

• Maxwell Eyes The Automobile Industry.  In a move design to get closer to hybrids, HEV, plug-in hybrids, PHEV and pure electric vehicles, EVs, Maxwell Technologies Inc. and ISE are partnering to develop and market high-voltage energy-storage systems for hybrid buses and trucks, according to the Boston.  Trucks and buses are becoming a heated market segment, especially with the increasing use of hybrid systems and supercapacitors.
• Hyundai’s LPI Hybrid.  Hyundai is taking pre-launch orders for its first ever Elantra LPI HEV, according to GreenCarCongress. The twist is that it will use liquefied petroleum.
• Madrid Ups The Electric Charging Points.  Here is another country that is serious about building its EV infrastructure, by installing recharging points at all public parking facilities in Madrid, via AutoBlogGreen.
• LA Sheriff Gets Mini E Fleet.  In a surprising move, the Los Angels Sheriff dept. will get a fleet of electric Minis, according to KTLA.  Some leasees will feel a certain amount of annoyance that the Sheriff dept will lease them at only $10 a monthinstead of the $850 some dollars others do.  Next, we will see electric minis hotly pursuing Tesla Roadsters in LA.
• Koenigsegg Quant Solar Could Be Around The Corner.  The news of Koenigsegg buying into Saab has some good repercussions so far, the Sweedish exotic maker is now rumoring the production of its Quant electric supercar, according to Gas2.
