Whether we talk about hybrids, HEV, plug-in hybrids, PHEV, fuel cell vehicles, FCV or pure electric vehicles, EV, one way or another, all car makers are looking into one option or another.  Some are tackling more than one option at a time. It’s the wildest gambling bet the auto industry has seen since its inception.

• Ford Fusion Hybrid Patents.  You might have see the news as to the Fusion hybrid being hailed as the car with the most patents currently?  One reason we didn’t cover it, which is well reflected in ElectricCarBlogging is… So what?  Indeed, how many times have patents stifled innovations?  Is this news worth celebrating?
• Sustainability Innovation Award Goes To…  Tesla for their Roadster with Sweden giving it away to Michael van der Sande, the Marketing VP at Tesla Motors, according to AutoBlogGreen.
• Mission One Will Be At The AMA Racing Vintage Grand Championship.  Good news for those living in Ohio, U.S. while will be able to witness the Mission One motorcycle running laps in between the AMA eGrand Prix events.  Source: Motorcycle.
• Are Californians Ready For The Aptera? How many times have we heard that question?  And this time from Fox who also underlines that 4,000 soon to be owners have plunked down money for its reservation.
• Valence Technology and S&C Electric Company Working On Grid Energy Storage.  Always good news to hear that two big companies are working on ways to store energy to help the transition from the current state of our grids to smart grids.  Source:  Seeking Alpha.
