Won’t you Tango with us?  But more on the serious side.  What else is showing up on the electric vehicle, EV front?

  • The Loremo Getting Closer.  Here is a video of the Loremo we covered a while back, getting ready for the XPrize, according to AutoBlogGreen.
  • Electric Drive, Mixing Economy With High Performance.  According to JournalNow, the 2007 study by the nonprofit Electric Power Research Institute calculated powering a plug-in hybrid, PHEV would cost the equivalent of roughly 75 cents for every gallon of gasoline.  Need more proof?
  • Optimal Energy On Display At Cape TownIf you are in Cape Town, South Africa and want to see the Joule, it will be on display at the Power & Electricity World Exhibition 2009 at the Sandton Convention Center from 20 to 24 April, coinciding with World Earth Day on 22 April 2009, according to CBN.
  • Hybridizing Trucks.  the other quiet revolution is happening with the greening of trucks via a hybrid drive train. Adura Systems Inc. has has a new electric power train it claims will increase the range of trucks and mass transit buses to up to 100 miles, according to the EETimes.  And if Hybrid Truck Users Forum is right, manufacturers will sell more than 5,000 hybrid trucks, compared with fewer than 200 just three years ago, according to SCIAM.
  • What Will Save The Car Industry?  Sometimes we concentrate too much on the glitzy and flashy when the real action is in the components. According to this Seeking Alpha post, James Rickman makes a good point on this.
