We’ve been tossing it back and forth and still we can’t chose which one should Chrysler choose to produce first. What about you?
The gist is that all of them have some alluring aspect but which one would we choose to produce first, second, etc? What would be your order?
Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe. Of course, if we had any say, the Dodge Circuit would be our obvious choice. A sleek, high-performance electric vehicle, EV almost on par with the Tesla Roadster? You bet.
It makes sense to us but somehow, we wonder if your everyday, daily commute traffic driver would be hard pressed to buy it. So maybe the Chrysler Minivan would be a better idea as number 1.
Chrysler Re-Invents Its Minivan. If the minivan came in handy last time Chrysler was in turmoil, what better way than to re-introduce it with a twist, hybrid, HEV. Why not? SUVs and pickup trucks are over-rated and suffer from a gas guzzling image. If the station wagon isn’t in yet, the minivan is certainly making a come back. Chrysler would most likely introduce the HEV minivan first.
Meeny, Who’s On Second? Now we still have the Circuit, the Jeep, the big SUV HEV and the Sedan 200C. At this stage, sedan are still great performers and it would be silly for Chrysler to pass out on the opportunity to show a semi-luxury plug-in hybrid, PHEV sedan. The style of the 200C may appeal to you or not, it makes more business sense, though we would question the finacncial side considering the relatively unproven platform.
Miny, Where Are You? Miny would have to be the SUV, Jeep look alike, if Detroit’s past is anything to guage from, it loves big cars that don’t have the best fuel consumption.
Moe, Are You The Circuit? Finally, last would be the Circuit.
It’s too bad that if Chrysler followed this scenario, the Circuit would be last. However, the impending FIAT merger could reshuffle the cards completely. Would we see a Circuit based on the Lotus, or based on an Alfa Romeo MiTo? Would the successor of the 159 be a PHEV instead? Go figure. The odds are staked. What would be your scenario?
