Electric Rover?

An electric Range Rover?  Why not.

The gist is people have become accustomed of their over-sized vehicles, and weaning them off SUVs and pickup trucks is going to be a challenge for the electric vehicle, EV world.  Comes to the rescue; Liberty Electric Cars.

Investing In Electricity.  The choice to electrify an SUV is a tricky one, and might as be one of the only true, “sports” utility vehicle, the Range Rover that was actually designed to go off-road.  So how serious is Liberty Electric Cars?  Very serious with a £30m, around $42 million into manufacturing electric Rovers at Nelson Industrial Estate in Cramlington, England.

Technically speaking, the NEBusiness the company hopes to make 1,000 EVs a year and hopes to have worldwide distribution services.  We can see dealerships in Beverly Hills and New York city, where they will find a clientele.

Tap The Higher Markets.  Liberty Electric Car is doing it the smart way by tapping the higher end luxury market.  According to its CEO, Barry Shrier, people aspire to drive large luxury cars particularly in cities and urban environments where environmental controls are becoming increasingly tight.

All in all, if hybridizing and electrifying heavy vehicles might seem like an exercise in futility, as long as there are people asking for them, why not?
