Alternative Energy Will PLay A bigger Role For Electric Cars

There is less and less doubt that the state of alternative energy will play an increasingly bigger role for electric vehicles, EV and plug-in hybrids, PHEV.

The gist, despite ups and down following a rough global economy, many signs point to alternative energy devloping as investments continue to be made.

U.S. Getting Serious About Alternative Energy.  According to Kevin Schulle, via Seeking Alpha, President-elect Obama has reaffirmed efforts to invest on renewable energy as part of the nation’s new energy plan.  With officials stepping up efforts, local cities continuing their “green” investing can only push the cause for EVs and PHEVs while boosting sagging economies.

The Sixth Industrial Revolution? Apparently so, according to John Peterson via Seeking Alpha who goes as far as calling alternative energy the 6th industrial revolution.

What Will Help The Alternative Push? High gas price!  According to, Bob Van Der Valk, again via Seeking Alpha, refineries have slowed down work, sending gas prices at the pump up in Southern California, which means sooner or later, elsewhere.

Even though HEVs are here and PHEVs are being hailed without massively hitting the road yet, all of this is pushing people to think more and more about alternative energy.  Alternative energy means different things to different people.  Alternative energy for cars can be anything from HEV, to PHEV, to EVs.  Alternative energy can be anything that gives your home an extra boost with renewable energy, etc.  But all in all, there is a mass conscious push for that big “green” movement.  People ask for it, companies will have to deliver, one way or another.
