With a new crop of hybrids, HEV and more advanced plug-in hybrid, PHEV, China is taking a bold move forward.
- BYD F3DM In Detroit. China beat everyone at bringing a rechargeable hybrid to the market… almost, according to the LATimes. Toyota will also have its electric FT-EV “urban commuter”.
- Hafei Saibao. Since we are on the subject, Hafei Saibao is also planning on selling an electric vehicle, EV in the U.S. within a few years, according to the Canadian People.
- Honda’s 2009 Civic Hybrid. With a reworked and improved Civic HEV, Honda might have a great contender here, according to USAToday.
- The Volt Appears As An E-Flex-equipped Cadillac. Still doubt the debut of the Volt? Even if it doesn’t come it will show up as a branded surviving U.S. car maker and this Cadillac is the beginning of the Volt technology test, according to Jalopnik.
- Chrysler’s Army GEM. Chrysler will sell 4000 of its GEM EVs to the U.S. Army, according to the ToledoBlade.
- 103rd Birthday Of The Electric Car. News flashlight, the EV is celebrating its 103rd Birthday. OK, we don’t really know how old it is, but over 100, according to this article on NeoSeeker.
- Miles Automotive Group Fights For Affordable Electric Cars. We hadn’t heard much news from the Miles group, but apparently they are still fighting to introduce affordable electrics, according to the LA Business Journal.
- Ford’s Project M. It’s all electric and is a Ford, but what is it? A project, not yet ready, according to the NY Times.
