AC Propulsion Develops New EV

Very good news from our friends over at AC Propulsion, the folks behind the eBox, who are now working on another electric vehicle, EV. The gist, we've covered many times AC Propulsion for many reason, their tzero concept fueled the technology behind the Tesla Roadster whose company bought the rights.  According to Motortrend, AC Propulsion has announced a collaboration with Taiwan's Yulon Group in the development of a new EV. It will be built by Yulon under their new Luxgen brand.  It will be mass produced for the Asian markets in the beginning, but it seems AC Propulsion will want to bring the EV back to the U.S. where the market is growing in leaps and bounds. What will it be? There aren't a lot of details yet but words like: "luxury with intelligence" propped up here and there giving us a hint that AC Propulsion is looking to reinforce the idea that EVs are performance cars and can pack a lot of luxury.  How far have we come from the glorified golf cart! It is important to keep an eye out on companies like AC Propulsion who are at the forefront of electric cars.  With more alliances being struck, this is advancing the introduction of EV into consumer's every day lives.  It also reminds us how important it is to have smaller players who innovate and, as in the case of AC Propulsion have about 15 years of experience with electric performance cars.
