Remember reading about when will we see our beloved loved old cars come back to the limelight, replacing their conventional engines to become electric vehicles, EVs?
Converting our old classics, has never been this easy with Greg Abbott at Left Coast Electric for $20,000, according to the CSMonitor. We spoke about mechanics in Long Beach, California converting rubber-nose MGBs and Greg near Los Angeles will convert a Triumph Spitfire to electricity. The gist, he will do it in 36 hours live in front of the public attending the aforementioned Alternative Car and Transportation Expo in Los Angeles. One of our cars at ElectricNick.com, a 1974 Alfa Romeo Spider sounds more and more appealing for this sort of project!
Democrats have a green face, at least at the 2008 convention in Denver, Sunday the 24th, according to BusinessWire. The gist, maybe having 10 EVs move these members and the public would emphasize the demand consumers have for these vehicles. Hopefully, it will move them to see that EVs are an immediate, very real solution to the current energy and climate crisis. The Tesla Roadster, Toyota RAV4 EV, AC Propulsion eBox and a plug-in Toyota Prius, amongst others will be there.
Finally, Channel 4 has what it considers to be the top 10 EVs here. The gist, we’ve already covered most of those EVs here, such as the Tesla Roadster, the Lightening GT and the Mitsubishi MiEV. We were happy to see other vehicles that don’t always get the press coverage they should, such as Citroen 1996 Berlingo Electrique panel-van. And what about the European much anticipated Fiat e500 with its 60mph and 75 miles range? Or the ultra sleek Venturi Fetish and its 2156 lbs, 0-60mph in under 5 seconds good for 100mph, sporting 300bhp and 280lb-ft of torque. Is it the equivalent of the Tesla Roadster?
It’s there, we just haven’t been told about them… yet. Aren’t you happy to have ElectrickNick.com? We are.
