How To Boost EV Sales

Tax exempt them!

Ah, if it was that easy. Wait a second, why not? After all, London is already doing it. Just-Auto.com reports a few cars will grab the attention at the British International Motor Show held at London this week since they are exempt from both the UK annual road tax and the business-week central city congestion charge the city started to charge a few months back in order to curb city congestion. London is already kicking its electric infrastructure for EV into high gear with the installation of kerbside recharge points. Smart city!

And with insurance doing their best to entice consumers to switch over, they are reducing rates by as much as 30-50%, according to the Think City importer. By the way, check out that little city car. It is intelligent in design, well thought of in terms of ergonomics and environment. It will be nice to see it here.

The British car show promises to be interesting and I bet will be a perfect testing ground for innovative concepts. It will be good to see how the Europeans react to them and how soon we can see these cars on our streets. In the meantime we will be interested to see how our elected officials work their way into boosting sales of electrical vehicles. It would seem to make perfect sense to give tax breaks.
